Everybody loves a good tag, I saw Trice Read doing this tag recently and I really liked the questions, so while I haven’t actually been tagged by anyone, I decided to go ahead anyway. This tag was created by The Book Loving Pharmacist, you can check out their original post here. The idea is that if you could go into a bubble where time stands still so you can read as much as your heart desires. I can’t tell you how much I with this was possible.
What book (or audiobook) have you been meaning to read for a long time but haven’t gotten around to reading.
The Diviners by Libba Bray. I have literally been hearing about it for years now, and I bought myself a copy ages ago, and yet I still haven’t picked it up. I’ve meant to, I’ve taken so many bookstagram pictures ready to post when I finally pick it up. But it’s not a short book, and it’s a little different from what I usually go for.
A book you have been meaning to reread, but haven’t.
I didn’t even have to really think for this one. It’s been years since I last read the Harry Potter series, I don’t think I’ve ever reread the last couple of books. I’ve been meaning to start rereading the series for ages, but I keep feeling guilty about all the unread books waiting for attention on my shelves.
A book from a genre you don’t normally read, but have been meaning to try and give it a chance.
The Book Thief, this book has historical elements, and while I have heard wonderful things about it, I don’t normally go for Historical fiction. Because I’m a mood reader, this book has been on my TBR for longer than I would prefer.
A series you’ve been wanting to read, but haven’t because of how long it is.
I’ve been wanting to get back into the shadowhunters series for a while now. Since I’ve joined the online book community they’ve been unavoidable and that enthusiasm is catching. I have read some of the many years ago, but at this point I feel like I’ve forgotten so much that I need to start again. Whether I ever get to all of them remains to be seen, I definitely want to give the Infernal Devices another shot, and I’ve been wanting to try Lady Midnight since it came out.
A book you wish you could go back in time and read for the first time.
I’d love to re-experience Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor for the first time. I had no idea what to expect going in, and that made this amazing book all the more special. There is so much going on with this story, amazingly vivid characters, curious magic, and interesting worlds, I loved every moment.
A book recommendation you have been putting off.
The Night Circus, I want to read this and it has been recommended to me on numerous occasions. It’s a book that I want to read when I have the time to fully appreciate it to the fullest. My expectations are really high for this, although I am also slightly intimidated by this books stellar reputation.
Since I wasn’t specifically tagged in this one I don’t feel comfortable tagging anyone specifically, but if like me, you like these questions please consider yourself tagged. I’d love to see your responses. As always, I’d love to chat in the comments.
